Nomad
The NOMAD features an indoor helm with an optional helm outside. The cabin is open in the back to the cockpit for full visability, with sliding windows for an airy interior. Heavy canvas curtains are used to close the back of the cabin in foul weather or for sleeping privacy. The backs of the helmsman and passeger seats are used to convert the seats into two 6'-6" berths up forward. A hinged counter conceals a head, while opposite there's another cabinet for a galley.
The open cabin makes this a good touring or cruising boat, having easy communication with the cockpit area. Some builders have extended the cabin shell aft and increased seating to accommodate more passengers under cover. It is also possible to omit the cabin entirely to make one huge cockpit.
The hull features 3/8" sheet plywood planking for a sturdy yet lightweight hull. The vee forward and flat bottom aft provides a soft ride and quick acceleration. With adequate power, the NOMAD is fully capable of pulling skiers.
