TUNNEL MITE is a compact replica of those exciting competition
racing boats cleaning up the "silverware" on the
world's racing circuit. The high speed hull rides as if on
rails due to the twin, full length sponsons. The air cushion
effect between the twin hulls makes for a smooth ride, besides
cutting down on resistance, so high speeds are possible with low
horsepower motors.
Building and driving the TUNNEL MITE is great fun for all
members of the family. The lightweight and compact hull is
easy to carry, whether it be on the car roof, in the family
van, or in a pickup truck. The rakish appearance enhances the
illusion of speed, but this boat is plenty safe, even for the
younger set, when operated on protected waters and powered as
recommended.
Construction is simple and straight forward. No building form
or jig is required, and the plans with patterns, or Frame
Kit, leave nothing to chance. So for fun and thrills, start
building your own TUNNEL MITE today.
"I am very happy with the way it turned out; it gets
lots of looks and questions from people wherever I take it.
Many will ask where I bought it and I always respond that it
is a Glen-L design that I built using your plans. The blue
prints and instructions were fairly easy to follow; I only
had a couple questions and after a phone call to Barry, they
were quickly answered. "
"If any of you are thinking about building a boat, do
it, the self satisfaction and attention it gets is well worth
it. " Donnie Gilliland, Red Wing, MN--Tunnel Mite
