Rugged simple design for fast and easy building |
I wanted the closest thing to a traditional flat iron skiff design I could find.
This is a great boat for kids and is ideal for younger kids to muck about at the cottage or any small lake since its wide flat bottom makes it very stable when they are leaning over looking for minnows and turtles.
Its easy to row and can also move nicely with a motor. The hardest part of building is the stem and if you get that right the rest is easy. You will need some decent woodworking skills but if you just take your time it will come to you.
The plans and drawings will guide you through.Study them and then study again and again and it will be a lot easier if you have the process in mind before you start.
Jump in and have fun. You will not regret it. |
