Making your own oars or paddles is easier and faster than you think when you use our OARS & PADDLES PLANS AND PATTERNS. Anyone with a few basic woodworking skills and tools can do it with professional results. We provide all the details, instructions, and Full Size Patterns. No layouts or scaling is necessary. Just transfer the patterns to the stock, cut to shape, and fair to the noted contours. One plan set details four oar and paddle types: Simple double bladed kayak paddle; single blade canoe paddle (also great for emergency use in any small boat); general purpose rowing oar; and super-lightweight, spoon blade, recreational rowing or sculling oar.
