This stylish craft serves equally well for sportfishing or
family cruising. Accommodations include an oversize v-berth
forward, complete galley, hanging locker, a dinette that
forms a 6'3" double berth, and enclosed head with
lavy and space for a shower. Controls are on the flying
bridge, and a roomy self-bailing cockpit nearly 9' long
is aft.
A modern deep-v hull softens the ride with a 40+º vee
forefoot, while the 18½º vee at the transom adds
stability and performance in conjunction with wide chine
flats and two lift strakes per side. Power comes from I/O
units to 1300 lbs., or single or twin outboards (25"
shaft length for singles; 20" or 25" for twins).
Building your own is not difficult nor expensive. The plywood
planked hull has a ½" total bottom and sides,
over sawn frames and longitudinal stiffeners. Or build in
welded aluminum with 3/16 bottom and " sides. Plans
include FULL-SIZE PATTERNS for the seven frame contours,
stem, and transom, along with our instructions and material
listings, plus fastening schedule on wood version.
