Bon Voyage
Our BON VOYAGE offers lavish accommodations with extended cruising capabilities seldom found even in the finest production craft of this size. Separate cabins are available for four couples with each having private access to a toilet room without having to cross through another's cabin. The deckhouse features a 10' long dinette which forms a double berth, an inside control station, and a bar. The galley is a full kitchen open to the deckhouse and adjacent to the bar. Generous window areas assure ample light and ventilation, and storage areas abound.
The BON VOYAGE is equally lavish with outdoor areas. In addition to full walkaround decks and aft deck, there's a covered bow porch with lounge seat, plus a huge sun deck and flying bridge control station with back-to-back seats. Ample fuel, water, and even waste holding capacities mean you'll be independent of marina facilities.
Power for your BON VOYAGE can be either twin I/O's or outboards. If you don't plan to move the boat too often, a single engine of either type can be used. Even though the hull is intended primarily for protected waters, a vee-form with long skeg assures good handling when the weather kicks up, while the topsides feature a good flare that combines with the forward bulwark to knock down spray for a dry ride.
You can build the hull of your BON VOYAGE in plywood, fiberglass, or steel. With plywood, a double diagonal format is used on the bottom, while topsides are standard sheets. With fiberglass, the sandwich core "one-off" male mold method is specified, and with steel, mild welded sheet steel is used. Cabin construction is simple double wall wood-frame plywood in all cases. Instructions, materials listing, and Full Size Patterns make the job as simple as possible.
