Yukon
In the YUKON, "trawler yacht" means a seaworthy, comfortable, and economical craft. Based on a previous successful hull design, her semi-displacement form achieves speeds up to 10 knots with incredible economy and range in just about any sea condition. Imagine all this with just a single modest sized engine! Twin engines are optional, but handling, responsiveness, and directional stability are everything that the experienced helmsman could ask for when using the standard single engine.
Convenience and safety features include full walkaround decks with cabin access on either side, dual control stations, mast and boom for dinghy launching, a boat deck for a good sized dinghy, and a spacious flying bridge. The wide beam and spacious accommodations make the YUKON seem much larger than she is. The tri-cabin layout offers exceptional privacy for three couples. Each stateroom has its own toilet room and commodious storage spaces. The deckhouse is perfect for socializing and entertaining as it also contains the fully equipped galley.
The YUKON is the type of design that will always be in style, so plan on having yours for a long while. This is the type of boat that the owner will find endearing, especially so when it is owner-built. Our plans show how the experienced builder can build his own, using either plywood and lumber methods or "one-off" fiberglass materials for the hull structure.
