CATEGORY: Sportfish Cruisers
CONSTRUCTION: Plywood planking/wood framing, welded all-aluminum, or welded steel with wood cabin

Options and features are many on this rugged, practical trailerable design. Low-cost construction is fast and easy in sheet plywood, steel, or aluminum. FULL SIZE PATTERNS for all frame member contours mean no lofting. Instructions with material listings are especially for do-it-yourselfers, and include options for 23' and 27' lengths.

Power options detailed include outboard, I/O, or direct drive inboard, gas or diesel. It only takes 45-60 SHP for 10-12 knot speeds. Or kick power up to the 150-160 HP range for speeds in the 18-20 MPH category. There’s plenty of fuel in any case.

Inspired by Ken Tyson's modification (see photos) we’ve added a Sedan Cruiser Version option. This features an enclosed deckhouse, sleeping for four, a larger galley, and room for a shower, with settees inside and out (inboard motor below), and a nice cockpit that’s easily covered if desired.

Otherwise, the Utility Version sleeps 2, has space for a head, and room for a hanging locker or galley, and a huge cockpit for all sorts of watersport or workboat activities. On both versions, cockpits are self-bailing and at least 30" deep. There’s also full headroom under the house tops, and nearly so in the trunk cabins.

NOTE: Steel hull plans include aluminum version plans with list of scantling changes for steel. Steel hulls weigh approximately 2000 lbs more than aluminum and draw 2" to 3" more than listed; speeds will also be less with similar power . Steel option also includes plywood and wood superstructure details.
