PLAY 'N JANE might look plain, but she's no ordinary boat. She's versatile and economical to boot! Whether for business or pleasure, she'll take either in stride. Use her for a club launch, buoy tender, patrol craft, yard tug, fishing boat, or just about any other task you can dream up. The true beauty of this no-nonsense craft will soon become apparent once you put her to work.

Consider these features: Your PLAY 'N JANE can be trailered anywhere because she's trim in the beam (under 8'!). The double sheer rails handle bumps and scrapes, and a husky deadwood protects her underwater gear. The cockpit is huge and the sole completely flush. The plans include provisions for a hold suitable for carrying about 3/4 ton of fish or anything else you would like to stow. If you want to lay over, the cabin features full standing headroom, two full size berths, and even a head!

Best of all, your PLAY 'N JANE doesn't have an expensive appetite like her fancy frilled relatives. All you need is minimal power to reach cruising speed range, and you'll take her 500 miles on one filling of diesel fuel. She won't make it in "fast company", but her seaworthy hull with high freeboard and deep forefoot makes her comfortable and safe in any sea a boat this size should be out in. All the methods and materials used in her construction are basic, so you can keep costs low. The plywood planking over sturdy sawn frames are the perfect materials for the amateur builder or small custom yard. The plans for the PLAY 'N JANE come complete with full size patterns so no lofting is required.

COMPLETE PLANS include FULL SIZE PATTERNS for stem, breasthook, and half-section patterns for the frames and transom. Includes instructions, Bill of Materials, and Fastening Schedule.
