Outboard or I/O power
Our KOKANEE is based on a beamy, fast "WIDE-TRACK"
hull design thats plenty stable for sportfishing, yet
easy riding. A deep-v (45º bow deadrise) forefoot blends
into a semi-v (13º transom deadrise) aft for stability
and economy. Flaring topsides with integral chine flats knock
down spray for a dry ride. A huge self-bailing cockpit with
center console and raised casting deck forward can hold a
gang of anglers and their gear. Fuel capacity is generous for
long range. Power can be single outboard or I/Os to 900
lbs. (700 lbs. with 19' length).
Construction is especially aimed at the do-it-yourself
builder, even first-timers. Hull options include sheet
plywood (½" bottom, 3/8" sides) over sawn
frames, or welded aluminum (3/16" bottom, 1/8"
sides). Plans include FULL SIZE PATTERNS for frame members,
instructions especially for do-it-yourselfers, material
listings, plus a fastening schedule on the wood version. Boat
trailer plans are also available as well as fastening and
fiberglass covering kits on the wood version.
