Tornado
The TORNADO is for the person with a yen to show his transom to the rest of the crowd. Put your super hot power plant or even a healthy stocker in the TORNADO and you have the perfect mating for the man who likes speed over the water.
The sleekness of the TORNADO is obvious in the lines. A low profile with a healthy beam and adequate length to provide stability at the higher speeds. The sides carry a generous flare back to the transom for safety on turns. Near the transom, however, the sides of the boat virtually disappear as the deck and sides form a smooth curving tumblehome to the crown of the deck. The low cowl with the "buckets" for the driver and passengers further carry through the clean lines. The motor, the pride of the fast boat enthusiast, is exposed and best equipped with chromed and polished appendages.
The engine in the TORNADO must be stern mounted and is usually connected to a v-drive that overdrives the propeller. The TORNADO is ruggedly constructed but relatively simple to build. The construction is carried through with our proven method that interlocks the motor stringers with the frames. In this type of construction, the motor stringers are the building form.
"The boat is very stable and rock-solid. Despite the fact that the water was not so calm and that there were many boats around, the ride was very enjoyable." Joel Bouchard (his father Fernand is the builder) View YouTube videos of Fernand's Tornado
