I would just like to tell all something. I run my own business as a carpenter / joiner. In my local town I do jobs for all kinds of people doing all sorts of things from cupboards and doors to fitted kitchens but I must say building my Vera cruise is giving me such a buzzzzzz!!! I also have lots of other hobbies but working on the boat really gives me a thrill. Thanks .

I remember way back when, when no one had built a Glen L design and talked down on them. I have built several designs and found them to be well thought out, functional, and efficient. My thanks to all of you, for not only keeping a tradition alive, but standing behind your designs. Years ago, Glen signed a copy of his Boatbuilding With Plywood for me and I was able to give it to a dying man who had taught me a great deal. He passed away with it next to his bed. It was well read.

Comments: I love your boat catalog. I purchased it 6 years ago and it got me, my sons & friends hooked. Only trouble... we can't make up our minds on what we want to build. I built Tubby Tug in the past. I belonged to a boat club and everyone was impressed. I own a 1973 Chris Craft cabin cruiser, and to tell the truth we had more fun with the Tubby than we did with our big boats. I sold Tubby and it was a big mistake. We used to take trips up the Conneaut creek, from our boat club. It was "great".

Comments: A few days ago I received the plans for the Sissy-Do, my first boat project. Now I'm not a stranger to tools or woodworking, honestly, the smell of freshly worked lumber somehow at that moment makes everything in life very good. (especially when my 5 & 9 year old boys turn off the TV or Playstation and say "hey dad, lets go build something"). I have been receiving your fine newsletter for some time now and enjoy it very much. Had not heard from you in the past few months and went to the home page to see what was up. Have since signed the guest book to start receiving the newsletter again, and then found the latest newsletter to see what I had been missing. Imagine my surprise to see the article on the Sissy-Do, and after looking at the pictures was delighted to find the picture of my Sissy-Do, which I had submitted years ago.
It was a fun project which I built with a bit of help from my then young daughters. The boat served us well for many years and we have so many good memories that were created with that boat.
Just wanted to say thanks, and I have recently dusted off the prints I have of the Glen-L 14. Hope to start on it soon.

I ordered my Glen-L 13 frame kit, plans and fastening kit way back in 1964. As I completed the boat I also ordered your hardware and sail kits. I really appreciated the quality of all your items. Now after almost forty years of sailing, my Glen-L 13 still draws comments and praise at the ramp whenever I rig her for sail. Keep up the good work.
