|A torque tube is used to couple the motor to the v-drive or other propulsion system. There is a universal joint on either end, and the center portion is spline-joined to provide an overall length variance of about 1". Available in standard lengths and in two sizes. The 1310 series is usually used for motors up to about 300 cu. in., while the 1350 series is used for larger motors. For safety's sake, many use the larger 1350 series for all installations. The maximum installation angle for any one joint is 12 degrees, but less is preferable. For an extra charge, torque tubes can be sized to meet individual requirements. For custom sizes specify the dimension from flange face of the engine to flange face of the v-drive. Special sizes are priced at the next highest standard length, and the cutting and welding added for the total charge. (See #90-849) Allow approximately 10 days for shipment of custom size units.|
