While just like our standard driftboats up forward,
weve straightened out the bottom aft, and widened the
stern so you can power upstream more efficiently in milder
rivers where ordinary driftboats under power cant
overcome the current. The result is a more versatile boat and
one you can take out upstream where you put in. But you still
get all the important driftboat features as with our standard
driftboat designs: Adjustable seating, side trays,
watertight bow and stern compartments, good rowing
maneuverability, and the same easy construction
methods. Plans cover both lengths and include FULL-SIZE
PATTERNS for the temporary frames, transom, stem, breasthook,
rail braces, and knee locks. Either a short (15") or
long shaft (20") outboard can be used

Bob Grutzmacher from Utah did a great job building
and finishing his plywood POWER DRIFTER.
