Primary Use: For making filleting or fairing putties where ease of sanding is desired.
Microspheres are microscopic, gas filled balls, in powder form of very low density and weight. Microspheres can be used to increase the bulk of either polyester or epoxy resin. In higher volumes, they make ideal fairing compounds, trowelable putties, and low density fillers that can be easily sanded. Use together with #1 Silica to make non-sag, easily sandable fillets. Order on the basis of approximately 1 pound per gallon of resin for a creamy consistency, or about 2 pounds per gallon for a more paste-like consistency.
