Rowing or sculling is a fun and invigorating way to get in
shape. The feeling of gliding over the water at a high rate of
speed with nothing more than people power is indescribable. The
problem is that most craft suited to this sport are expensive
and, in the past, trying to build your own was not easy.
Our Stitch-N-Glue method changes all of that. Just about anyone
can build our SCULLING SKIFF quickly, easily, and with only a
minumum of tools. Two sheets of 4mm x 4' x 8' plywood
plank the entire boat. When these thin metric panels are used,
the finished weight will be comparable to the costly production
jobs. In fact, the original prototype hull weighed only 39 lbs.
... incredible for a 17' boat.
Although you can equip your SCULLING SKIFF with a production
sliding seat/sculling assembly, our plans even include complete
details and Full Size Patterns to build your own sliding seat
and riggers from readily available materials. There's no
reason to deny yourself any longer. You can now have your own
high-performance, high-tech SCULLING SKIFF with just a few days
of fun and not even miss the money it takes.
